And then there were 4...

Some may call us crazy but we call ourselves crazy blessed. Yes, the Gleed family will be welcoming a new addition December 1, 2013. We haven't told a lot of people yet but I feel that I will have to defend our decision (yes, this was planned) when we do start telling people.  I've included a short clip which pretty much sums up how we feel.  Growing up, Cameron and I both have always wanted to have a lot of kids. In fact, in high school Cameron was voted the most likely to have 10 kids out of his whole class.  We can't disappoint right? (kidding!)  Right now in our lives we have a great living situation and are able to provide spiritually and physically for kids, so why not? Yes, I do admit, being pregnant is extremely hard and takes quite the toll in every way possible.  The thing is, I feel completely ready to do that again. We know there will be hard times, and things won't go as we've planned but just like Elder Anderson said we are having children in faith. We are fully planning on being frustrated by having two kids in diapers and all the other messy things that go along with having two young kids.  However, we have thought and prayed about this decision for months and this is what needs to happen for our family.  There, I've said it and that's that.

We found out on Easter that we were expecting.  It was such a relief to know for sure. I was pretty confident that I was pregnant since I had been feeling extra tired for a few weeks prior to that. It's not until I see those two little lines when I stop feeling pathetic for always needing a nap.  I love being justified in taking an afternoon nap.  So far this pregnancy is very similar to the first one but different in a few ways. They are the same in that I still feel pretty awesome.  I'm so blessed not to have the dreaded pregnancy where vomiting is the norm. I have never felt like that. (knock on wood) They are different in that I have absolutely no appetite.  Nothing sounds good to eat except sugar, scrambled eggs, and a whopper Jr. from BK. I feel like I need to puke more often but in all 12.5 weeks thus far I haven't. This time around, I do get headaches more frequently but I'm sure that if I'd actually get back to the diet I had (i.e. more vegetables, less sugar, more water) I'd be fine.
We are having a natural childbirth again since Addie's birth was such a wonderful experience. I found a birthing center 4 miles away from our apartment that I love. There are 3 midwifes and they are wonderful. Melody set a pretty high bar for my expectations for being a good midwife and so far the two I've met have exceeded that. They are great. I am lucky to have found such a great place so close. So, that's our news and we are absolutely thrilled.

In other news, ADDIE TURNED ONE!!!!
We love our little Addie May! She is such a joy to be around as you can tell by this adorable picture. The pictures to follow were of her actual birthday. We were so lucky to have Jamie, Theron, Ki, Amelia, and Jessica come for the party. Addie loved having someone else other than me to look at all day. The weather was GORGEOUS! We took full advantage of this and went to Newcastle Beach.  We had so much fun eating Subway sandwiches and playing with the new balls Grandma Parker sent for Miss Addie May. While at the beach she loved crawling down to the waters edge, feeling the cold water then crawling out only to turn around and do it again. She's so funny.  After the beach we came home for dinner and cake and ice cream. It was fun having Grandma and Grandpa Gleed and Quinn come over to celebrate with us.  The party was rainbow themed so I made a rainbow cupcake cake. Addie loved eating the cupcakes. She ate 3 of them.  Addie was so funny opening her presents. She'd rip off a piece, hand it to me, then rip off another. She was so careful in her present opening.
We are so blessed to have this little lady as part of our family.  She has the funniest facial expressions which you'll see later. She will quickly turn my frown upside down.  Love you Addie May!

The next item of awesomeness, OUR 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!
I am such a lucky girl to have married such a wonderful man. I know many people say it, but I say it and actually mean it! We had such a fun evening together. When Cam got home from work he surprised me with gorgeous flowers from Pike Place Market and some Gouda cheese.  He got if for me because I'm always saying it's my favorite.  If I'm being honesty I'd never had some until he brought it home.  I'd just say that because it was a movie line. I got him a movie and ha hat. I also organized all the letters that we'd written while he was on his mission and when we first were dating into a binder. We dropped Addie off at Nic and Haley Willman's house. They are our friends in our ward that live close. (Get this, Cameron and Nic are home teaching companions, as well as both in scouts, and Haley and I are visiting teaching companions and love crafting) They are a great family! They have two little girls. Kinzie age 4 and Abby just turned 4.  The girls love playing with each other so we let them play. We switch off babysitting at least once a week.  Anyway, we dropped Addie off at Abbie's house and we went to dinner at a restaurant called Nine O.  It was pretty good. We mainly enjoyed talking about the past two years and all the things we've done and accomplished. Think about it, we've both graduated, moved a billion times, had a baby and a half, had multiple church callings, went to Mexico...just to name a few.  We have so much fun together.  When Cameron asked my dad if he could marry me my dad said as long as I finished school (check) and as long as he made me laugh everyday. (double check) Cameron makes me feel like I can accomplish anything (except having short young women presidency meetings). He is such a wonderful father. I truly am blessed.

This month, we had about a 2 week period where the weather was incredible. To take full advantage of this we've been going on walks after dinner as a family. I love this time together. We go exploring new trails by our house and see funny things like this sign. We laughed for a while. This was our first trail we explored. The second time we went walking we parked at the temple. We first walked around the grounds which were gorgeous! After that, we walked on the trail that runs right alongside our stake center.  That night we ended up at Robinswood Park which is where Addie LOVES the swings. This area is so wonderful and has so much to offer.  We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful community where the church is so strong.

This next part of my blog post is dedicated to the many faces of Addie. She's SUCH A CHEESE! There isn't a day that goes by that I'm nearly in tears because of her mannerisms and silly smiles. She truly lights up my day. Here are just a few of the wacky faces she pulls.

When Addie was younger she'd sleep on her hands and knees kind of curled up in a ball only face down. I was so nervous about how she was able to breath but somehow she did.  Now it's always in a different position. Addie usually goes to bed at 8 pm every night and sleeps until 7:30-8 the next morning. Before Cameron and I go to bed we go in and check on her. We like to make sure her room is warm enough, that the humidifier is on and working properly, but mostly just to look at her.  I have really come to cherish these few moments every night. I really need this time because there is just something about after a long day of her being quite moody or mischievous that seeing her sleep gives me a renewed sense of commitment to giving her the best possible life. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I love this little girl so much!  My life is so happy. I wouldn't change a single thing. Isn't that awesome?
